RISING BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY
You can never be prepared for a terror attack on the scale of 26/11, at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai. For the duration of the attack, Mr. Sanjana worked tirelessly alongside the National Security Guard, evacuating as many guests and staff as he could, before the terrorists could reach them. He was also shot in the leg by a terrorist.
It was one of the toughest personal and professional challenges to ever encounter in the line of duty, and Mr. Sanjana rose heroically to the occasion. For his actions, Mr. Sanjana was honoured by the Group Chairman, Mr. Ratan Tata, on 31st January 2011 with 'The Ratan Tata Award for Bravery', in recognition for "Exceptional leadership and devotion to duty in the face of great danger on 26th November 2008”, during the search and rescue mission.
Mr. Sanjana has also received an appreciation letter signed by Mr. Raymond Bickson, former Chairman of TajSATS, and Mr. Ng. Chin Hwee, former President and CEO of SATS Ltd. for efforts rendered in initiating evacuation and response in the Mumbai unit, during the devastating Mumbai floods on 26th July 2005. He is extremely proud to be an associate of the Taj Group for over 38 years and he considers the organisation his home.

Mr. Nowzer Dudhmal is currently the General Manager - Special Projects of TajSATS. He is a graduate of IHMCTAN Mumbai, with over 38 years of experience in the flight catering and hotel industry. He began his career as a Trainee Catering Assistant in 1981 and has steadily grown in the organisation. He has worked in a variety of roles such as operations, administration, business development, strategic projects and customer satisfaction, to name a few.
Mr.Dudhmal was recognised for achieving Operational Excellence, with a focus on bottom-line performance, leading and mentoring a workforce of over 1,000 employees.
At TajSATS, he has been a part of multiple business growth accomplishments, including setting up new flight catering units in Goa and Bangalore, diversifying into new business opportunities — corporate, institutional and ship catering — and guiding the Mumbai unit across multiple periods of financial slowdown. He has also worked closely with several domestic and international airlines.
Mr. Dudhmal is a recipient of the TajSATS Bravery Award for his organisational skills and quick thinking, which helped save a number of company assets and employee lives during the Mumbai floods of 2005.

Chef Arun Batra is a culinary expert in the airline catering industry with almost four decades of experience and is currently heading the culinary team at TajSATS, Delhi.
The prestigious winner of the Golden Hat, awarded by the Indian Culinary federation, and with many other such accolades and appreciation, Chef Batra is on the board of numerous international and domestic airlines' culinary panels. He was amongst the distinguished group of culinary team leaders involved in catering for the Common Wealth Games, held in India in 2010.
Chef Batra is an expert in the myriad facets of food production — from kitchen operations and planning of mega-kitchens, to food sustainability, hygiene and food safety; his culinary creativity and cuisine has been appreciated by various international and domestic airlines and their guests.
He is a passionate chef, culinary change catalyst, an avid traveler, environmentalist, and his penchant for teaching and grooming youngsters is what completes him further.
